SVBC TO POPULARISE TIRUMALA NAMBI AND BHAGAVAT RAMANUJA TEACHING_ TTD EO DR D SAMBASIVA RAO

Tirumala, 8 September 2016: TTD EO Dr D Sambasiva Rao today said that the premier bhakti channel of TTD Sri Venkateswara Bhakti Channel -SVBC- would take up all round publicity of teachings of Srivari devotees – Sri Tirumala Nambi and Sri Bhagawat Ramanuja.

The TTD EO participated in the 1043 avatar mahotsavam of Sri Sri Tirumala Nambi at the south mada street of Tirumala and also released an english book titled “History of Tirumala Temples’ scripted by Sri Veera Raghava Tatacharya on the ocassion.

Speaking at a special conference got up on the life and times of Sri Tirumala Nambi the TTD EO said both Sri Tirumala Nambi and Sri Bhagawat Ramanuja the ardent disciples and devotees of Srinivasa. He also appreciated that the 80 descendants of Sri Tirumala Nambi were participating in the event.

He said that the TTD will accept the suggestions of the 16 veda pundits who had participated in the conference will be suitably incorporated in the Alwar Divya Prabandham and also a mandapam will be constructed at the Sri Tirumala Nambi Sannidhi at the south mada street. A national convention will also be organised as part of the Sahasrabdi utsavam of Sri Ramanuja, he said.

TTD OSD for all projects Sri N Mukteswar Rao said that Sri Tirumala Nambi was a role model for all of Srivari devotees and that all out efforts were made by the Alwar Divya Prabandham project to popularise the teachings and cultural heritage of Sri Tirumala Nambi.

Earlier Sri PR Ramanujan of Chennai presented a key note lecture on the theme of Sri Tirumala Nambi.

The conference was conducted under the aegis of Dr VG Chokkalingam, OSD for TTD Alwar Divya Prabandham.
