“SVV AND DHARMIC PROGRAMMES IN TN AND K’TAKA SOON”- EO

TIRUMALA, November 6, 2015: With an aim to wide spread Sri Venkateswara Bhakti cult across the nation, TTD is contemplating to organize Sri Venkateswara Vaibhavotsavams and more Dharmic programmes in Tamilnadu and Karnataka soon, said TTD EO Dr D Sambasiva Rao.

Reacting to the pilgrim callers during the monthly Dial your EO programme on Friday at Annamaiah Bhavan in Tirumala, TTD EO answering pilgrim callers Sri Parthasaradhi from Salem of Tamilnadu and Smt Jayasri of Bengaluru in Karnataka, he said, TTD has so far organized SVV in a big way at Vizag, Guntur, Nellore and New Delhi. “If the sponsors come forward to organize the programme as per the prescribed norms of TTD, we are willing to organize even in Tamilnadu and Karnataka soon”, he added.

Adding further he said as majority of pilgrims to Tirumala include Tamil and Kannada people apart from Telugu speaking states, TTD is contemplating to telecast half an hour spiritual programme during prime time on SVBC in Tamil and Kannada. “We want to eminent spiritual scholars like Sri Velgudi Krishnan who is akin to Sri Chaganti Koteswara Rao of our state to wide spread Hindu Dharma Prachara activity”.

“We want to wide spread our HDPP even in remote areas involving our Srivari Sevakulu and Dasa Sahityaparas”, he answered a pilgrim caller Sri Srinivas from Hindupur.

Answering pilgrim callers Sri Saibaba of Vijayanagaram, Sri Bhaskar of Nellore, Smt Malini of Chennai, Sri Santosh from Rajamundry, Sri Rambabu from Bengaluru he said, TTD has released 23,273 arjitha seva tickets through on-line quota in its website on Friday, November 6 which is open for the pilgrims to book from 11am onwards.

Reacting to the callers Sri Narahari from Khammam, Lalu Chawan from Maharastra, Sri Madhusudhan Rao of Vizag he said, TTD is contemplating soon to enable Rs.300 online booking possible to book even three hours before. “To make the darshan system more easy, comfortable and transparent we have introduced time slots in Rs.300 darshan and reduced Rs.50 darshan. As per board decision, in future we may wind up the Rs.50 darshan system. However a little quota is made available in e-Darshan counters. But for those who are coming to Tirumala without prior planning of darshan, we are planning to enable on-line booking of Rs.300 tickets three hours before darshan slot also based on the availability of vacancy.

Pilgrims callers Sri Santosh of Rajamundry and Sri Bhavanarayana of Guntur suggested EO to see that there is no clash in TTD Arjitha Seva on-line booking band width and Railway reservation booking band width. Answering the callers EO said the issue will be looked into after contemplating with the IT wing.

KARTHIKA POURNAMI IN NEW CAPITAL CITY ON NOV 25-TTD EO

As a part of the eight phase of Managudi programme which will be observed on the auspicious Karthika Pournami day, TTD will organize the celestial fete of lights in the new capital city of Andhra Pradesh in Amaravathi on November 25, said TTD EO Dr D Sambasiva Rao.

Addressing media persons after Dial Your EO programme, he said, this time TTD is set ready observe Karthika Deepotsavam festival in five major cities during the entire month of Karthika starting from November 16 in Vizag followed by Mantralayam on November 23, on November 30at Hyderabad and on December 7 at Bhadrachalam with Karthika Pournami festival in Amaravathi city on November 25.

During Kaisika Dwadasi on November 23 and 24, special programmes with Mala Dasaris in 89 revenue divisions in both the Telugu speaking states will be organized. This is to revive and bring back past glory to Mala Dasari System”, he added.

TTD EO also said, the management is planning to include e-Hundi option also to the pilgrims while booking Rs.300 darshan tickets. “We have now opened up four payment gateways. This will help the pilgrims to do the offerings in e-Hundi also while booking for darshan”, he added.

With an aim to take up Hindu Dharma Prachara in a wide spread manner we want to involve Srivari Sevakulu in a big way. For which we are planning to train them with the help of some seva organisations, the EO observed.
