SWARNARATHAM ON EKDADASI-CHAKRASNANAM ON DWADASI

Tirumala, 19 December 2015: The hill temple of Tirumala which has geared up for the Vaikuntha Ekadasi on December 21 and Vaikuntha Dwadasi on December 22, will also observe the procession of Swarnaratham and Chakrasnanam respectively during these days.

RADHA RANGA DOLOTSAVAM:

On December 21, the procession of Swarna Ratham in the name of “Ratha Ranga Dolotsavam” will take place from 9am to 11am. There is a strong belief that those who witness Lord in Swarna Ratham will get the merit of three crore ekadasis and hence is also called Mukkoti Ekadasi.

TTD has cancelled Visesha Pooja, Kalyanotsavam, Unjal Seva, Arjitha Brahmotsavam, Vasanthotsavam, on this occasion.

CHAKRASNANAM:

Following day on Dwadasi, Chakrasnanam is performed to Sri Sudarshana Chakrattalwar and it is also considered the Swamy Pushkarini Teertha mukkoti.

The Chakrattalwar will be taken on a celestial procession to Swamy Puskarini from 4:30am to 5:30am and Chakrasnanam is performed. Those who take holy dip in the pushkarini during this auspicious hour will get the merit of having taken bath in 66 crore theerthas.
