TEMPLE CITY REVERBERATES WITH “SRI RAMA NAMA”

Tirupati, 2 April 2014: The temple city of Tirupati reverberated with “Sri Rama Nama” on Wednesday, with the villagers hailing from around 55 mandals in the district coming out with a noble task of donating “Silk Vastrams” to Lord Sri Venkata Kodanda Rama Swamy on the occasion of on-going brahmotsavams.

In a massive response to the call given by TTD Tirupati Joint EO Sri P Bhaskar to link-up the temples dedicated to Lord Sri Rama in the district with the Lord Sri Venkata Kodanda Rama Swamy temple in Tirupati around 55 temple representatives hailing from Vedurukuppam, Pachikapalam, Bangarupalem etc. reached Tirupati on Wednesday evening to take part in the nine-day religious event of annual brahmotsavams of Lord Sri Rama.

They were reveived by HDPP Special Officer Sri B Raghunath and HDPP Deputy EO Sri Umapathi Reddy at Ramachandra Pushkarini. From there the “Shobha Yatra” commenced and concluded at Lord Sri Venkata kodanda Rama Swamy temple through the streets of Mahati Kalakshetram, Gandhi Road, Bazaar street. At the temple the village representatives were received by Temple DyEO Sri Harindhranath and other temple staffs. The HDPP officials have distributed pustaka prasadams to the villagers and these books will be distributed n their areas on the auspicious Sri Rama Navami day on April 8.
