THIRD PHASE OF MANAGUDI ON AUGUST 21

TIRUMALA, JUNE 29: TTD EO Sri LV Subramanyam said that the third phase of Managudi programme will take place across the temples of Andhra Pradesh on 21st of August on the auspicious day of Shravana Pournami which also happens to be the famous Rakhi Pournmani.
 
Reviewing with the top brass officials of TTD at Annamaiah Bhavan in Tirumala on Saturday he said, TTD in association with AP Endowments department has successfully conducted “Managudi”-mass temple festival programme in two phases on August 2 and November 28 during last year in 13,242 and 17,536 temples respectively. “This year we should organise this mass fete with more vigor and see that this festival is being carried out in more number of temples across the state with public participation”, he added.
 
He said a review meeting with Principal Secretary and commissioner of AP Endowments, district heads etc. will soon be conducted and a plan of action will be chalked out to make this mass programme a big success.
 
Meanwhile Hindu Dharma Prachara Parishad In-charge Secretary Sri B Raghunath briefed about the tentative list of activities which includes release of posters, training to archakas and district HDPP committee members on Managudi on July 13,  “Alaya Shobha”-providing new look to temples located in Dalitwadas on August 7, distribution of pamphlets and spiritual discourse on the importance of Managudi on August 11 on the auspicious day of Garuda Panchami, Laksha Kumkumarchana in all temples of AP on August 12, Gopuja in all the temples of state on August 14, recital of spiritual poems with students across the state on August 15, Mass Varalakshmi Vratam in all the temples across the state on August 16, Satyanarayana Vratam on August 17 in all temples across the state.
 
JEOs Sri KS Sreenivasa Raju, Sri P Venkatrami Reddy, CVSO Sri GVG Ashok Kumar, FACAO Sri Balaji, Dy EOs Sri C Ramana, Sri Umapati Reddy, Smt Chenchulakshmi, Smt Vanaja and other officers were also present.
