THOUSANDS OF DEVOTEES EXPERIENCE THE “UNIQUE VAIKUNTHA DWARA” DARSHAN ON JAN 11

TIRUMALA, JAN 11:  Tens of thousands of devotees thronged the sacred Hill Town of Tirumala on the most important and auspicious day of Vaikuntha Ekadasi on Saturday and witnessed not only the grandeur of Lord Venkateswara but also experienced the memorable experience of entering into Vaikuntha Dwara which is opened only on two days in a year including Vaikuntha Ekadasi and Dwadasi consecutively.

TTD has made elaborate arrangements for the visiting pilgrims including providing food, milk, tea and water at various points round the clock. The day started with morning kainkaryas to the presiding deity of Lord Venkateswara in Ekantha and the VIP break darshan commenced from 1.30 am and lasted up to 6.30am. This was followed by darshan to sarva darshan and divya darshan pilgrims as announced by management earlier.

Scouts and Srivari Sevaks have been deployed to control queue lines at various points both outside and inside temple premises to see that the multitude of devotees experience hassle free darshan on this auspicious day.

Scores of Govinda mala devotees hailing from Tamilnadu, Karanataka apart from Kerala, huge number of pilgrims from North India also had darshan of Lord Venkateswara through Vaikuntha Dwaram. For the convenience of the pilgrims, the Vaikuntha Dwaram will be opened till midnight 12 of January 12.

Meanwhile majority of the pilgrims also had a golden opportunity to witness the grandeur of the processional deities of Lord Malayappa Swamy along with Sri Devi and Bhu Devi on Saturday on Swarna Ratham.
