THREE DAY ANNUAL JYESTHABHISHEKAM BEGINS SRI GOVINDARAJA SWAMY TEMPLE

Tirupati, 18 July 2013: Three day Annual Jyestabhishekam begins in Sri Govindraja Swamy Temple in Tirupati on Thursday, Temple priests performed Snapana Tirumanjanam to the processional diety of Lord Govindaraja Swamy and His consorts inside Temple premises.

Annual Jyestabhishekam is being conducted every year during Ashada Masam, Jesta Nakshatram for three days. Also known as Abidhyeyaka Abhishekam, on the first day, the archakas performed “Kavachadhivaasam” to the deities amidst the chanting of vedic hymns.

There will beKavacha Pratisha on July 9 and Kavacha Samarpana on July 10 with which the festival concludes.
