THREE DAY ANNUAL PAVITHROTSAVAM IN SRI KAPILESWARA SWAMY TEMPLE BEGINS
Tirupati, 9 July 2013: Three day Annual Pavithrotsavam begins in Sri Kapileswara Swamy Temple in Tirupati on Wednesday.
Temple Priests of the temple performed ‘Snapana Tirumanjanam’(Celestial Bath) to the processional deities of Lord Sri Kapileswara Swamy, Sri Kamakshi Ammavaru, Sri Vigneswara Swamy Varu, Sri Subramanyam Swamy Varu, Sri Chandikesavaswamy Varu at Kalyanamandapam inside the temple premises.
The objective behind performing ‘Pavitrotsavam’ every year in the temples is to seek the pardon of the deity for any act of commission and omission committed inadvertently by the priests, by the temple authorities or by the visiting pilgrims and restore the purity in its original pristine form.
Temple Inspector Sri K.Srinivasulu, temple staff and large number of devotees took part in this programme.
