THREE DAY ANNUAL PAVITHROTSAVAMS IN SRI KODANDARAMA SWAMY TEMPLE BEGINS

TIRUPATI, JULY 22, 2014: The three-day annual pavitrotsavams commenced in the temple of Lord Sri Kodanda Rama Swamy in Tirupati on Tuesday.

This ritual is performed seeking the pardon of the Lord for the possible acts of all omissions and commissions committed either knowingly or unknowingly by the priests or temple officials during the performance of daily rituals to the presiding deity inside the temple.

On first day Suprabhatam was performed to the deity and later the processional deities were rendered Snapana Tirumanjanam. Later in the evening the deities were taken out along the mada streets in a ceremonial procession. This event was followed by Pavitra Pratistha, Saynadhivasam in the evening between 7pm to 9pm.

Deputy EO Sri Harindranath and other temple officials were also present.
