“THYAGARAJA ANNUAL ARADHANOTSAVAMS IN KAKARLA HENCEFORTH”-TTD EO

TIRUPATI, MARCH 12:  The Tyāgarāja Aradhanotsavams will be celebrated henceforth in the native village of the musical exponent at Kakarla of Prakasam District in Andhra Pradesh every year on the lines of Tiruvarur annual aradhanotsavams of Tamilnadu, said TTD Executive Officer Sri MG Gopal.

 Addressing the valedictory of the two-day musical festival tirubute to the Carnatic Trinity which took place in the SV college of music and dance in Tirupati on Wednesday evening, the EO said, the telugu people are forunate since the “Trinity of Carnatic Music” – Sri Thyagaraja, Sri Muttuswamy Dikshitar and Sri Syama Sastry hail from different places of Andhra Pradesh though they were settled in other states in later years of their life. He said this programme is a fitting tribute to the musical trinity who immortalised the world of Carnatic Music with their rare keertans.

TTD EO complimented the efforts of the faculty members of the Music college and Nadaswaram school for promoting the traditional fine arts by fine tuning the students who have taken different courses.

TT Devasthanams Educational Office Sri P Sesha Reddy, Principal of the Music college Smt YVS Padmavathi, faculty and students of the college were also present.
