TIRUCHANOOR FLOAT FESTIVAL ENDS WITH GRANDEUR

Tiruchanur, 12 June 2014: The five-day float festival in the temple of Goddess Padmavathi Devi at Tiruchanoor concluded on a grand note on Thursday evening.

The float festival is one of the most important events in the list of annual events that are being observed in this famous temple of Goddess Padmavathi.

For five days, the Goddess takes pleasure ride in the serene waters of the massive Padmasarovaram temple tank and muses the pilgrims with Her celestial charm.

Interestingly, on the first day, the Goddess mused the pilgrim devotees with Sri Krishna Avatara followed by Sri Sundara Raja Swamy guise on second day and in Her own divine beauty enthralled the devotees on the last three consecutive days.

The pilgrims were blessed to see the grandeur of the lady love of Lord Venkateswara on Gaja Vahana on Wednesday and the five day float festival concluded with the Goddess gracing the devotees on mighty Garuda Vahana on Thursday evening.

The TTD engineering department has arranged electrical illuminations in a glittering manner which added glory to the religious event.
