• More grand electrical illuminations and barricades at mada streets for navarathri Brahmotsavams.

Tirumala,10 October 2015: TTD Chairman Dr Ch Krishnamurthy today said all steps were initiated to ensure that there was no damage to ghat roads and the life of devotees by the land slides caused due to heavy down pour.

Speaking to reporters at his camp office in Tirumala the TTD chairman said strong metal structures on the ghat roads have been strengthened besides barricades and grill gates have been set up at four mada streets for safety of benefit of devotees during the Navaratri Brahmotsavams. ‘TTD plans to put up more bright well themed and colorful electrical illuminations (bill boards) of gods and goddesses for the grand event ‘ he said.

He also displayed the special design for the Thousand Pillar mandapam (thousand pillared mandapam) to be built at the Narayanagiri gardens and urged the TTD Engineers to study the same from all technical angles. ‘The design has been prepared by technical consultants of Bangalore to highlight the devotional quotient of Tirumala ” he said.

The TTD chairman said the e- auctioning of the tonsured hair of devotees will be effectively conducted to raise more revenues to TTD. There will be more lighting at Kapila theertham waterfall to avoid unsavory incidents; an escalator would be installed between Vishnu NIvasam guesthouse and the Tirupati Railway station.

Earlier the TTD chairman accompanied by the Board members Sri A V Ramana, Sri G Bhanu Prakash Reddy, Sri DP Ananth, Sri Pasupaleti Hariprasad and Sri Putta Sudhakar Yadav reviewed the functioning of marketing department and directed that quality purchases of good like dry fruits and dal should not be compromised.

TTD Chief Engineer Sri Chandrasekhar Reddy and Procurement Executive Engineer Sri Srinivas and others participated.
