Tirumala, 30 Sep. 16: In connection with the Salakatla Brahmotsavams of Lord Venkateswara which are set to commence from October 3, with Ankurarpanam on October 2, the ghat road will remain open round the clock from October 1 to 12 for the sake of the pilgrims, said TTD EO Dr D Sambasiva Rao.
With just a day to go for the annual mega religious nine-day festival of Lord Venkateswara of Tirumala, EO briefed the media persons at Annamaiah Bhavan on the overall arrangements made by TTD on Friday along with Tirumala JEO Sri KS Sreenivasa Raju. The important arrangements includes:
@ As Garuda Seva day which falls on October 7, the Garuda Vahanam will commence from 7:30pmitself, half an hour in advance, for the benefit of the pilgrims.
@ The galleries starting from Vahana Mandapam to Hathiramji mutt which could accommodate over 25 thousand pilgrims, will be best utilised to enable vahana darshan to more number of pilgrims especially on Garuda Seva day.
@ The harati points will be also utilised
@ Both Foot path routes will be opened on Garuda Seva Day. Special security provision in Srivari Mettu route.
@ APSRTC buses to operate 3800 trips especially on Garuda Seva day. Three buses to transport pilgrims from Srinivasa Mangapuram to Srivari mettu on this auspicious day.
@ Every day 9am to 1am Annaprasadam service in Annaprasadam complex
@ Frequency wise menu service during Garuda Seva day in Galleries.
@ Buffer stock of seven lakh laddus. Distribution of Laddus in First In First Out system. Every laddu tray and laddu will be checked for quality and transparency.
@ Eight First Aid Centres and Ten ambulances.
@ TTD Security and Vigilance along with district police will ensure safety and convenient darshan and vahana darshan to pilgrims.
@ An additional force of 4700 police, 3000 srivari sevakulu, 1000 Scouts and Guides deployed for the service.

@ More parking areas this year for the sake of vehicles.
