TIRUMALA HILLS REVERBERATES WITH HANUMAN JAPAM

TIRUMALA, MAY 23: The divine nama of Lord Bhakta Hanuman reverberated in the Holy Hills of Tirumala on the occasion of annual Salakatla ‘ Hanumantha Jayanti’ celebrations on Friday.

The temple priests performed special pujas including Panchamrithabhishekam with milk, curd, honey, coconut water and Sandal paste to the Bedi Anjaneya Swamy which is situated in front of the main temple, followed by Archana, Arathi, Naivedyam. Special pujas have also been performed to the Konerugattu Anjaneya Swamy located opposite Bhuvaraha Swamy temple and in the evening at around 3pm special pujas were performed to the 60-ft tall Prasanna Anjaneya Swamy at the seventh mile on the first ghat road.

TTD has made elaborate arrangements including free transportation bus facility for the sake of the locals and pilgrims to carry them from Tirumala to Seventh Mile and back to Tirumala on this festival day from 11am till 6pm.

TTD Chairman Sri K.Bapiraju also took part in the Hanuman Jayanthi festival which was performed in the famous Japali theertham, situated about 5 km from Tirumala main temple in dense forests of Seshachalam. He presented silk vastrams to the presiding deity of Japali Hanuman. Earlier the chairman and officials of TTD were accorded warm welcome by Sri Arjun Das Swamiji of Hathiramji Mutt.

After darshan, talking to media persons, TTD Chairman Sri Bapiraju said “Lord Anjaneya is a role model to all devotees as he pioneered “Sharanagati Prapatti” being the ardent devotee of Lord Sri Rama. He is an inspiration to the devotee fraternity for selfless devotion and sacrifice and we all should follow his divine path to attain salvation”, he added. Temple Peishkar Sri Selvam, Parupattedar Sri Naik and others were also present.
