TIRUMALA JEO FLAGS OFF RTC BUSES FOR AIRBUS PILGRIMS

Tirumala, 9 January 2016: With a view to enable convenient transportation for the pilgrims who are coming from across various parts of the country as well over seas in aeroplanes, the APSRTC has started two exclusive bus services on Saturday in Tirumala which were formally flagged off by Tirumala JEO Sri KS Sreenivasa Raju in Tirumala APSRTC Depot.

Speaking on this occasion, the JEO said, in the recent times, the pilgrims who are coming in air services have considerably increased with the Honourable PM Sri Narendra Modi inaugurating the new airport terminal at Renigunta. “At present around eight services are operating and in near future the air bus services may increase with Tirupati becoming one of the most sought after pilgrim centres in the world”, he observed.

He complimented the APSRTC for coming out with innovative move of operating two exclusive buses for Airbus passengers from Airport to Tirumala and Vice-versa. “Every day two buses operate in three trips each to transport the passengers who come for darshan of Lord Venkateswara. It’s a welcoming gesture”, he added.

APSRTC DM Sri K L N Reddy and other officials were also present.
