TIRUMALA JEO INSPECTS FOUR MADA STREETS

Tirumala, 25 January 2017: As the annual Rathasapthami festival is scheduled for February 3, Tirumala Jeo Sri KS Sreenivasa Raju inspected the ongoing arrangements in four Mada streets along with other department heads in Tirumala on Wednesday.

Later speaking to media persons, the JEO said, on February 3 the main focus will be on the pilgrims waiting in galleries in four mada streets as they come in large numbers to witness Vahana Sevas. “The day starts with Suryaprabha Vahanam in the morning at 5:30am and concludes with Chandraprabha on the same day night at 9pm. So scores of pilgrims will occupy all the galleries. We are arranging Annaprasadam and water for them for this occasion”, he added.

Further he said, as the North-East entrance point and Govinda Nilayam W4 gate points are crucial with movement of pilgrims, Annaprasadam serving vehicles and trolleys and garbage clearing vehicle, we have initiated additional measures this time with necessary amendments, keeping in view the past experience”, he maintained.

He also appealed to the pilgrims to maintain patience and follow the norms of TTD to have smooth visual treat of Saptha Vahana Sevas on the auspicious Rathasapthami.

Temple Dyeo Sri Kodanda Rama Rao, SE II Sri Ramachandra Reddy, VGO Sri Ravindra Reddy, Health Officer Dr Sermista, Catering Officer Sri GLN Sastry and other officers were also present.
