TIRUMALA JEO INSPECTS KALYANAKATTA

Tirumala, 27 Mar. 15: Tirumala JEO Sri KS Sreenivasa Raju on Friday inspected the Kalyanakatta-tonsuring area in Tirumala.

Later addressing media persons, he said, TTD has taken initiative to improvise, strengthen and speed up the Kalyanakatta services to multitude of visiting pilgrims by enhancing transparency in the system.

He said, the Kalyanakatta srivari sevakulu who have been offering free tonsuring services from the last two years, will henceforth will be paid some sum for their work. “This will come into practice from April 1 onwards. We are contemplating to arrange separate queue lines for men, women and children in tonsuring areas to speed up the activity”, he added.

Deputy EO KKC Smt Baby Sarojini, SEII Sri Ramachandra Reddy, EE-1 Sri Krishna Reddy were also present.
