TIRUMALA JEO INSPECTS NARAYANAGIRI GARDENS WORKS FOR NEW YEAR, VAIKUNTA EKADASI AND DWADASI EVENTS

• All set for January 1st, Vaikunta Ekadasi,and Dwadasi devotees rush
• 18 Special sheds at Narayanagiri vanam with catering, toilets
• Special cultural programs for devotees at Narayanagiri vanam
• Flower and electrical illuminations for the event

Tirumala, 23 December 2016: Tirumala JEO Sri KS Sreenivasa Raju, today urged officials to speed up all works of temproary sheds etc at Narayanagiri gardens in view of the onrush of devotees during the New Year on January 1st, 2017 Vaikunta Ekadasai on Jan 8 and Vaikunta Dwadasi on January 9.

He directed officials to prepare sheds and said on January 8 the Srivari darshan will be opened up for common devotees from 1.30 AM in the night after the passing of limited number of VVIP darshans.

He directed officials to prepare sheds and strengthen the queues at Narayanagiri for comfort of devotees of spillover from compartments on the day of Vaikunta Ekadasi. Eighteen sheds were planned to be put up with toilets and drinking water besides anna prasadam distributions at Narayanagiri vanam.

The Tirumala JEO said a special control room, a primary health centre, catering store room will also be set up at the Narayanagiri vanam. The region will be decked up with flowers and electrical illuminations to attract the devotees. About 4 lakh water packets were kept as buffer.

He also directed Dr. Sarmista to take all steps for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in the queue lines and entire Tirumala on Vaikunta Ekadasi day.

He also advised the catering officials to prepare an action plan for speedy disbursement of anna prasadams for those in queue lines and also directed the Transport GM Sri Shesha Reddy to coordinate with RTC officials for proper shuttling of buses from Tirupati to Tirumala.

The Tirumala JEO said cultural, dharmic and bhajan programs will also be conducted for the benefit of devotees waiting in the Narayanagiri queue lines and shelters.

The Tirumala JEO Sri KS Sreenivasa Raju appealed to devotees coming by walk for Divya darshan on Vaikunta Ekadasi day to be not worried over darshan.

He said devotees who come by walk on Alipiri and Srivari Mettu routed will get their darshan tokens on production of Aadhar Card, PAN card, Passport, Voter ID, Driving Licence, or Ration card.

He said if even none of them were available the devotees ID with Photo and finger print will be accepted.
