TIRUMALA JEO INSPECTS PARKING LOTS WITH ENGINEERING

Tirumala, 17 September 2016: The TTD Joint Executive Officer Sri KS Sreenivasa Raju today said large vacant areas have been developed into parking spots in Tirumala for benefit of devotees during the Brahmotsavam festival.

Inspecting the parking lots in Tirumala with engineering and vigilance officials he said parking lots developed and sign boards were put up in consultation with Police for benefit of devotees. There will be no concept of temporary toilets and all will be permanent toilets.

The vacant space at GMC toll gate where Seva Sadan-I and Seva Sada -II is now being built will be developed as a parking lot. Similarly the vacant space near Bata Gangamma and papavinasam road near Anna Prasadam complex, near Shila Thoranam are developed into parking lots with all amenities like lights, drinking water and toilets. From all parking lots with sign boards leading them to the galleries of mada streets are set up.
Near Ram bagicha guest houses (bus stand) parking lot is developed so that devotees can come on ring road and locate their vehicles. Since the land given to Octopus is also vacant now,parking lot will be developed there too- for light vehicles (since HT lines are there, no heavy vehicles) Parking infrastructure will be developed in all these spots with a week and TTD officials with police, and vigilance will once again visit these locations and decide on what more is needed.

On the mada streets there will be no temporary toilets, but five more permanent toilets for benefit of devotees on the galleries will be built. The problems noticed in last Brahmotsavam near the W-7 gate will be resolved this year and improvements were already made. Garuda Seva day issues like, clearance of garbage of annaprasadam, no throwing of coins on the Garuda Vahanas.

Since two wheeler are not allowed on Tirumala on Garuda seva day, free bus services provided for Tirupati residents upto Balaji link bus stand (near Alipiri) and to RTC bus stands, so that they can travel in buses to Tirumala. Our objective is that all devotees should use the facilities provided by TTD for their benefit during Brahmotsavams and particularly the Garuda Seva day.
