TIRUMALA JEO INSPECTS Rs.300 NEW COMPLEX

Tirumala, 23 April 2016: Tirumala JEO Sri KS Sreenivasa Raju on Saturday inspected the Rs.300 new complex in Tirumala.

After inspecting the arrangements, the JEO told media persons, that the new system which was launched on April 8 has won the accolades of the pilgrims with its all facilities including luggage counters, food court and cafeteria.

He said, in the wake of huge summer vacation rush which is expected to swell from this month end onwards, TTD has restricted VIP break darshan only to protocol VIPs and cancelled morning slot darshan to aged and physically challenged on Fridays from April 15 till June 30.

He also said that as the heat waves are blowing even in Tirumala this year, TTD has made elaborate sun protective arrangements for pilgrims by painting coolants, providing shelters, supplying water, buttermilk etc. to pilgrims as jeat relief measures.

Answering a query, the JEO said only srivari vahanams are allowed in the four mada streets as the place is considered to be pious. “Earlier when the four mqda streets are not widened vehicles were allowed near temple. But now we have spacious mada streets and they have been declared as no vehicle zone. Vehicles are allowed only up to vaibhavotsava mandapam point and not beyond that”, he maintained.

Temple DyEO Sri C Ramana, VGO Sri Ravinder Reddy, Health Officer Dr Sermista, SE II Sri Ramachandra Reddy were also present.
