TIRUMALA JEO LAUNCHES THE SALES OF 2014 TTD DIARY AND CALENDAR

TIRUMALA, NOV 30: The much awaited Rs.75 worth 12-sheet calendar and Rs.100 Diary published by TTD is out in the market and the sales was formally launched by Tirumala JEO Sri KS Sreenivasa Raju in Tirumala on Saturday.

After launching the sales in the TTD book stall located opposite Tirumala temple, Tirumala JEO talking to media persons said, like in the previous years, both the diary and calendar have come out colourfully this year also with rare and beautiful pictures of deities and important places and events in Tirumala. He said the new year calendar and diary was already released by TTD Chairman Sri K Bapiraju and TTD EO Sri MG Gopal on November 11, however the sales commenced on Saturday.

“This year we have published 12 lakh calendars and 6 lakh diaries. Our target is to sale over one calendars and diaries each in the TTD book stalls at Tirumala till December 20, before they are marketed out side. Till then we are also not going for bulk sale”, he asserted.

AEO Sales Wing Sri Krishaiah, Superintendent Sri Sriramulu and others were also present.

Meanwhile the sale of 12-sheet, Diary, Rs.7 and Rs.10 calendars commenced in all the TTD book stalls located opposite Temple, opposite Lepakshi, inside Annaprasadam and near ATC bridge for the sake of the pilgrims on Saturday.

JEO INSPECTS “MOVABLE QUEUE LINE” IN TIRUMALA

Tirumala JEO Sri KS Sreenivasa Raju on Saturday inspected “Movable Queue” in Tirumala near Vahana Mandapam.

The new appliance will provide a temporary resting to the pilgrims who are standing in queue lines for lengthy hours when the pilgrim rush is heavy.

Meanwhile TTD is contemplating for many such devices at a cost of Rs.92lakhs especially in Divya Darshan queue lines(foot path pilgrims) in Narayanagiri Gardens when the rush is heavy. These strong iron equipment which weighs over 400 kilos has wheels with seating facility that will accommodate six members. This will be of great use for the women and aged when the pilgrim rush is more.

TTD is planning to bring up this machine for pilgrim use from the new year onwards. EE I Sri Krishna Reddy was also present.
