TIRUMALA JEO REVIEWS ON BTUs ARRANGEMENTS

Tirumala, 26 September 2016: With less than a week to go for the mega religious nine-day fete of Salakatla Brahmotsavams of Lord Venkateswara at Tirumala, Tirumala JEO Sri K S Sreenivasa Raju reviewed with all the departments on the ongoing arrangements.

The review meeting was held at Annamaiah Bhavan in Tirumala on Monday. JEO reviewed department-wise preparation works for the ensuing brahmotsavams.

Later speaking to media persons he said all arrangements are in place for the annual fete. “We are erecting 19 LED screens in mada streets for the convenience of the pilgrims to view the vahana sevas from the galleries. Keeping in view the increasing vehicular movement, this year we are contemplating a concrete plan for vehicle parking especially on Garuda Seva Day”, JEO said.

MOVEMENT OF TWO WHEELER BANNED ON G-DAY

Adding further the JEO said, the movement of two-wheelers have been banned this year also like in previous years on Garuda Seva day, keeping in view the safety of pilgrims. “The two wheelers will not be allowed to ply on the ghat road from midnight of October 6(00:00hours of October 7) till 6am of October 8 in connection with Garuda Seva on October 7”, he added.

Elaborate arrangements of Annaprasadam is on wheels with several food points to be opened at important congregation places for the big fete, the JEO said.
