TIRUMALA JEO REVIEWS ON JAN 1, VAIKUNTHA EKADASI ARRANGEMENTS
Tirumala, 8 December 2016: As there is exactly a month to go for the twin important days of Vaikuntha Ekadasi and Vaikuntha Dwadasi and which are set to occur on January 8 and 9 respectively and also for the New Year on January 1, Tirumala JEO Sri KS Sreenivasa Raju instructed the officials of various departments to gear up for these occasions.
A preliminary review meeting was held in Annamaiah Bhavan at Tirumala on Thursday evening by JEO with heads of various departments. The JEO instructed the officials of the concerned departments to complete the pending works if any and facilitate smooth security, queue lines management, transportation, accommodation, annaprasadam, sanitation, water supply requirements of the visiting pilgrims during these auspicious occasions.
The JEO said that since both New Year and Vaikuntha Ekadasi falls Sunday, heavy pilgrim influx is being anticipated. The JEO instructed the officers concerned to utilize the services of Srivari Sevakulu, scouts and guides to offer free services to pilgrims and and for crowd management.
“There will be no privilege darshan for donors, aged, parents with infants, NRI, defence personnel, Physically handicapped etc. on this occasion. No recommendation letters will be entertained and there will be no advance reservation during these occasions”, he said.
SE II Sri Ramachandra Reddy, VGO Sri Ravindra Reddy, Special Officer Annaprasadam Smt Chenchu Lakshmi, Health Officer Dr Sermista and others were also present.
