TIRUMALA JEO REVIEWS PUSHKARAM ARRANGEMENTS

Tirumala, 28 April 2014: Tirumala JEO Sri KS Sreenivasa Raju reviewed over the arrangements to be made by TTD during Godavari Pushkarams which are scheduled to take place from July 14 this year for twelve days.

Reviewing the arrangements with HoDs of various departments in Annamaiah Bhavan at Tirumala on Tuesday, the JEO said, as lakhs of pilgrims will be taking part in this religious event, TTD, being the country’s biggest religious institute has a major role to play. “After taking the holy bath, the devotees are sure to throng to Srivari temple to have darshan of Lord. So there should not be any compromise in setting up the replica temple of Lord in Pushkaram ghat. It should have all elegance, majesty and splendour”, he instructed the Engineering wing.

The JEO also directed the Electricity and Garden departments to come out with innovative and attractive electrical illumination and floral concepts to match the occasion. The JEO also instructed the vigilance wing to be more vigilant and design perfect queue lines to see that no untoward incident take place in spite of heavy rush.

He had instructed the Annaprasadam, Health, Medical wings to make necessary arrangements for the mega event.

“The religious cultural programmes by HDPP, Annamacharya, SV Dance and Music college, Vedic wing of TTD should be of high standards and should attract the devotees”, he maintained.

The JEO later directed the PR department to utilize the services of local srivari sevakulu to serve the visiting pilgrims.

Chief Engineer Sri Chandra Sekhar Reddy, VGO Sri Ravinder Reddy, HoDs of various departments, senior officers were also present.
