GOVERNOR REFERS VEDIC STUDENTS AS RISHIS OF NEW AGE BHARATA

TIRUPATI, NOV 18: Describing Vedas as the rich spiritual and scientific wisdom aimed at the welfare of the entire humanity, the Honourable Governor of Telugu speaking States Sri ESL Narasimhan called up the Vedic scholars and students to take up the mission to propagate the tenets of Vedas to the world through extensive research.

In his address in the capacity as the Chancellor of SV Vedic Varsity, delivering the third convocation speech at Mahati auditorium in Tirupati on Wednesday, he said, Vedas and Vedangas have opened the avenue for rich spiritual knowledge since ages. “The principles enshrined in Vedas preach us “Dharmo Rakshati Rakshitaha”, which is the basis for humans to lead a righteous way of living. Our Vedas taught the world spirituality as well the social sciences, mathematics and even modern sciences some thousands of years ago. I always feel that our Karma Siddhanta is equal to Neuton’s law of Action and Reaction. There is an urgent need to propagate the vast knowledge embedded in our Vedas as you are the present day Rishis to widespread the the traditional wisdom”, he reiterated

He complimented the varsity for entering into MoU with various institutions including DRDO. “I appreciate the VC Prof KE Devanathan for his outlook and also the TTD Trust Board and administration for their initiative in developing the Vedic education”, he added.

Later in his address chief guest of the function, Brahmasri Mangipudi Venkata Sastri who was also conferred with title Honoris Causa, “Mahamopadhyaya” title said, among all wealths and donations, Vidyadhanam and Vidyadanam are considered to be holiest and superior.

Earlier varsity VC Prof KE Devanathan presented the annual academic report and achievements of the varsity. Registrar Prof G Sree Ramakrishna Murthy was also present.

Around 141 students were presented degrees of Vidyavaradhi, Visistacharya, Sastry etc. on this ceremonious occasion.
