TIRUMALA NAMBI UTSAVAMS COMMENCES IN TIRUPATI

Tirupati, 17 October 14: The annual ten-day Tirumala Nambi temple Utsavams commenced in the famous Sri Govinda Raja Swamy temple in Tirupati on Friday and will conclude on October 26.

Every year TTD observes this fete in the honour of Tirumalanambi, the famous Sri Vaishna saint who dedicated his life in the service of Lord Venkateswara.

According to legend, Tirumalanambi reached Tirumala in 973AD and began the Abhisheka Kainkaryam to Lord and pioneered Visishtadwaita.

On final day there will be snapana tirumanjanam to the processional deities of Lord Sri Govindaraja Swamy and His consorts followed by four-mada streets procession in the night.
