TIRUPATI JEO INSPECTS AMMAVARU BRAHMTOSAVAM ARRANGEMENTS

Tirupati, Nov 21, 2013: TTD Tirupati Joint Executive officer Sri Pola Bhaskar on Thursday inspected the ongoing arrangements for the annual brahmotsavams of Sri Padmavathi Ammavaru in Tiruchanoor which is scheduled to take place from November 29 to December 7.

In his three and a half hour long inspection the JEO directed the concerned officials to make elaborate arrangements on par with Tirumala Srivari Brahmotsavams without any compromise.

He instructed the health department officials to take special attention of sanitation, supplying drinking water and keeping the premises clean. He directed the officials to complete the pending works before the stipulated time.

Later talking to media persons he said, keeping the past experiences, this year, TTD is making enhanced arrangements to avoid any sort of untoward incidents during the nine-day karthika brahmotsavams in Tiruchanoor. “This year we have designed separate entry and exit points to avoid stampede like situations during Panchami Teertham. Even the routes in the mada streets leading to Padmapushkini are also being streamlined to avoid congestion”, he added.

He said apart from TTD cops and police force, this year the services of Srivari Sevaks will also be utilised to control the heavy influx of pilgrims during brahmotsavams, especially during the final day of Brahmotsavams on December 7 where the most important religious fete of Panchami Teertham is scheduled to take place. “We are also planning to take the private kalyanamandapams and halls located in the mada streets as resting places for the visiting pilgrims after negotiating with the owners”, he added.

Tirupati Urban SP Sri Rajasekhar, CE Sri Chandra Sekhar Reddy, Special Grade Deputy EO of Tiruchanoor temple Sri Bhaskar Reddy, Suptd Engineer Sri Ramachandra Reddy, Temple AEO Smt Nagarathna, VSO Sri Hanumanthu and many other officers were also present.
