TIRUPATI JEO INSPECTS ANNUAL BRAHMOTSAVAMS ARRANGEMENTS AT VALMIKIPURAM

SITA RAMA KALYANAM TO BE PERFORMED IN SPRAWLING 2.18ACRES OF LAND ON APRIL 10

FOR THE FIRST TIME A HUGE STAGE IS TO BE SET UP TO ENABLE 10THOUSAND DEVOTEES TO WITNESS THE CEREMONIOUS FETE

VALMIKIPURAM, MARCH 30:  The Tirupati Joint EO Sri Pola Bhaskar on Sunday reviewed and inspected the on going arrangements for the annual brahmotsavams that is scheduled to take place from April 5 to 14 in the famous Temple of “Sri PattabiRamalayam” at Valmikipuram, located about 100kms from Tirupati.

JEO instructed the Engineering department officials to set up a platform to perform Sri Kodanda Rama Swamy Kalyanam on April 10 in the sprawling 2.18acres open land located adjacent to the ancient temple.

Usually kalyanam was performed inside the temple with limited number of persons(Rs. 300 on which a couple will be allowed). But for the first time TTD is making elaborate arrangements for the auspicious event to enable over 1000 couples and nearly 10,000 devotees to take part and  witness the ceremonial fete.

“Set up the pandals, stage, illuminate the stage and decorate the mandapam with floral dioramas. This should become a memorable fete in the history of the temple. There should be no compromise on the arrangements”, he instructed the concerned officials.

Meanwhile the uniqueness of this age old temple is that it was built by Lord Jambavantha in Treta Yuga as a mark of his respect towards Lord Sri Rama. Here Lord Sri Rama will be seen in the coronation ceremony posture as presiding deity flanked by His beloved Consort Goddess Sita Devi and also flanked by his brothers  Laxmana, Bharatha, Shatrughna and  Lord Anjaneya. The Lord Sri Rama here is also called “Pratapa Rama”. TTD has adopted this temple in 1997 and has been doing annual brahmotsavams every year for nine days in a big way.

Meanwhile the Annual fete of brahmotsavams will commence on April 5 with Dhwajaroahanam and Gaja vahanam on the same day evening, followed by Muthyapu Pandiri and Hanumantha Vahanams on 6th April, Kalpavirksha and Simha on April 7, Sarvabhopala and Sesha Vahanams on April 8, Suryaprabha-Mohini Avataram- Chandra Prabha on April 9, Sri Sita Rama Kalyanam and Garuda Seva on April 10,  Rathotsavam and Dhuli on April 11, Paruveta utsavam and Aswa Vahanam on April 12, Hamsa Vahanam and Dhwajavarohanam on April 13 and concludes with Pushpayaga Mahotsavam on April 14.

Elaborate arrangements are underway by the temple management of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams to celebrate the mega event in a big way. Deputy EO Sri EC Sreedhar, EE Sri Jagadishwar Reddy and other officials were also present during inspection.
