TIRUPATI RAILWAY STATION TO BE MADE WORLD CLASS-TTD TRUST BOARD CHIEF

Tirupati, 4 February 2016: TTD Trust Board Chairman Dr Ch Krishnamurthy on Thursday asserted that the Tirupati Railway station will be developed to international standards and TTD will offer its support towards the development of Railway station.

Addressing media persons in SPRH at Tirupati he said, there is an urgent need to develop Tirupati Railway station in view of the ever increasing pilgrim rush. The existing number of platforms is not enough and their numbers should be enhanced.

Adding further he said, I have met the union railway minister Sri Suresh Prabhu and submitted him a representation seeking the developmentof Tirupati railways to world class standards to which he also reacted positively.

Later the Chairman sought the Railway GM Sri Ravindra Gupta to see that Tirupati Railways get a huge share for its development in Railway Budget. “There is need to extend the area on Southern side for which we offer our support in providing land and other required facilities. But please ensure that we get priority in budget allocation”, he reiterated.

TTD EO Dr D Samba Siva Rao, CE Sri Chandra Sekhar Reddy, TMC Commissioner Sri Vinay Chand, Guntakal Divisional Manager Sri Gopinath Malya were also present.
