TRADITIONAL SRIVARI OFFERINGS OF SILK SARI AND GOLD CEREMONIOUSLY BROUGHT TO PAT

• TTD EO, and JEOs collectively bring the Srivari offerings to Tiruchanoor.
• Ceremonial parade from Srivari Temple ,Tirumala to Tirupati and PAT, Tiruchanoor enthralls devotees all along 30 kms route.
• Precious gold and diamond jewels from Srivari Treasury gifted to PAT for Panchami theertham event.

Tirumala, 4 December 2016: In accordance with annual tradition the special silk sari along with jewels were offered to Goddess Padmavathi on the occasion of Panchami Theertham (Birthday of Goddess Padmavathi).

As part of the holy exercise the Srivari Temple Offerings comprising of Silk sari, Turmeric, Kumkum, Prasadams, Turali, Gold jewels like bracelet and diamond studded shanku necklace were brought out of the temple and paraded in the four mada streets at 4.30 AM before the journey to Tiruchanoor.

The TTD EO Dr D Sambasiva Rao led the procession up to ragi manu at Tirumala and handed them over to Tirumala JEO Sri KS Sreenivasa Raju for onward journey. JEO carried the offerings upto Alipiri Padala mandapam where special rituals were performed and handed over to the Tirupati JEO Sri Pola Bhaskar up to Komalamma Satram (R S Garden). After the procession in streets of Tirupati the special offerings of the Srivari Temple reached the Pasupu mandapam at Tiruchanoor where after another round of rituals it was brought to Padma Pushkarini by officials and priests of PAT.
