TRIAL RUN OF GARUDA SEVA ON POURNAMI DAY ON SEP 16 IN TIRUMALA

Tirumala, 15 September 2016: The Pournami Garuda Seva on Friday (Sep 16) will be conducted in grand manner as it will be considered a trial run for the Crucial Garuda Vahana sea during the ensuing Brahmotsavams next month.

As part of the exercise the jewel decked Sri Malayappa swamy will be taken around on Garuda Vahanam from 7pm to 9apm on the mada streets. All activity and role all departments particularly the SVBC will come under scrutiny with a view to set right the lapses in time for the grand show on October 7, the holiest Garuda seva as part of Brahmotsavams when lakhs of devotees throng the four mada streets and Tirumala for a glimpse of Lord Malayappa Swami atop the glittering Garuda Vahanams.

The HDPP also plans to put up a massive bhajan mela with participation of 120 Bhajan mandali troupes from Srikakulam, Vizianagaram and Visakhapatnam.
