TRIAL-RUN OF POURNAMI GARUDA SEVA PERFORMED AT TIRUMALA

Tirumala, 9 September,2014: With just two weeks time to go for the commencement of annual Srivari Brahmotsavams, the temple management of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams(TTDs) has performed trial-run of Pournami Garuda Seva on Tuesday evening in Tirumala.

The procession of Lord Sri Malayappa Swamy adorned with dazzling jewels and in silk vastrams, seated on Garuda Seva, began at 7pm and went off along the four-mada streets in a grand manner.

All the galleries were filled with pilgrims and the entire scenario re-created the feel of annual Garuda Seva fete.

Several troupes of artistes performed in front of the procession and bhajan groups sang the songs in praise of Lord Venkateswara. The entire Tirumala ranges reverberated to the “Govinda Namas” uttered by tens of thousands of pilgrims who converged to witness the trial-run garuda seva.

TTD top brass officials, HODs of various departments also took part in the procession.
