TRIAL-RUN OF SWARNA RATHAM

Tirumala, 8 September 2014: As the annual brahmotsavams of Srivaru at Tirumala is all scheduled to take place from Sept. 26 to Oct.4, a trial-run of Swarna Ratham was performed on Monday.

The ratham commenced from the Ratha mandapam located opposite to Vaibhavotsava Mandapam in Tirumala by 3pm and went upto Pushkarini Harati mark and returned back to the same place where it started.

The Engineering officials checked the brakes, wheels and other important requirements for the smooth passage of the Golden Chariot as the procession will take place on the sixth day on October 1 as a part of annual brahmotsavams.

SE II Sri Ramesh Reddy, Additional CVSO Sri Siva Kumar Reddy and other officers were also present.
