Trust Board Meeting at Annamayya Bhavan

Tirumala, 18 Jun. 10:Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam board today decided to provide house or employment on an outsourcing basis to several categories of displaced persons from Tirumala.

One of the major decisions of the Board meeting held under the chairmanship of Sri D K Adikeshavulu was to enhance the consolidated honorarium of Pradhana Archaka of TTD on par with that of the Deputy Executive Officer.

The Board also approved the appointment of  M G K Murthy of  Vijayawada as a member of the Central Dharmic Advisory Board as no other suitable SC/ST candidate was available

The Board also decided to refer the request of Mirasidars (Archakas) as per section 34 to the State Government for favourable consideration.

TTD  Executive officer  I Y R Krishna Rao said the board had approved some of the recommendations of a committee set up to review the grievances of the displaced persons and their rehabilitation at Tirupati.

He said eligible persons will be employed on an outsourcing basis as piece-rate-barbers in the Kalyana Kattas at Tirumala in the existing 400 vacancies.

Eligible displaced families were also provided with either houses or outsourced jobs on G plus  Two criteria.

Persons displaced in 2005  will also be provided with either houses or job on an outsourcing basis .displaced  forest workers in 2003  will also be provided outsourced jobs in vigilance in about existing  400  vacancies.

The board also decided to provide a night allowance and an insurance policy of Rs.2.5 lakh to all drivers working in TTD.

Board decided that a vigilance control room will be set up near the Annadanam complex to monitor the happenings in all sectors.

Krishna Rao said that the GMR had come forward to take up gardening near  Narayanagri gardens ( Alwar tank )  at a cost of Rs.8.5 crore on donation basis. They will also set up a wastewater recycling system for gardening purposes.

The board also approved a proposal to introduce courses in Sama Veda and Atharvana Veda at the Bapatla  Veda Pathashala.

EO  said the Board has agreed to take up  Veda Pathashalas set up anywhere in the country if they are affiliated to the Sri Venkateswara Vedic University.

Earlier the  Chairman Sri.D. K. Adikeshavulu inaugurated a Donor cell at the Central Reservation Office complex at Tirumala.

He also inaugurated a consolidated equity  cum reception and allotment of rooms for all sorts of  Representatives of organisations at the MBC  centre at Tirumala.

Sri I.Y.R.Krishna Rao, Executive Officer, TTD Board Members Sri Kale Yadaiah, Sri Ch. Sathyanarayana, Sri Muthyam Reddy, Sri Routhu Suryaprakash Rao, Sri Vijay Sai Reddy, Smt. Indira Reddy and Sri Alluru Subramanyam were present.
