TTD APPEALS TO DEVOTEES NOT TO FALL IN TRAP OF DALARIS
TIRUMALA, OCTOBER 22: In spite of repeated appeals by TTD to the pilgrim devotees, still majority of devotees are falling prey to many Dalaris or middlemen who are cheating the pilgrims encashing their anxiety to have darshan of Lord Venkateswara. TTD appeals and re-appeals to the devotees not to fall in the trap of these middle men.
From the past few days, the toll free number of TTD Vigilance and Security Wing has been receiving number of complaints from the devotees who were being cheated by the Dalaris, promising VIP break tickets and Arjita Seva tickets of Lord Sri Venkateswara.
The Chief Vigilance and Security Officer Sri GVG Ashok Kumar appealed to the pilgrims to inform the TTD vigilance without delay if they come across any such incidence. The accused with be punished as per the law. An incidence of one such case is, on 24 th of September a devotee hailing from Hyderabad registered a complaint against one Muni Niranjan, who introduced himself as a TTD employee working in vaikuntam Queue Complex-II as counter boy and promised the devotee of getting kalyanothsavam ticket and asked him to transfer Rs.10,800/- to his bank account in Andhra bank, Tirumala. Believing him, the devotee transferred the money from their bank account in Hyderabad to Muni Niranjan’s account in Tirumala.
After the transfer of the amount, the boy stopped responding to the pilgrim’s call. The devotee immediately informed TTD vigilance officer about the issue. AVSO Sri Katam Raju on receiving the complaint from the pilgrim, lodged a complaint in Two Town Police Station in Tirumala and arrested the accused on October 4.
The devotees are again and again requested and appealed not to approach middlemen for VIP break or Arjitha Seva tickets. If they come across any incidence they are requested to contact the following numbers:
