Tirumala, Oct 7: TTD Chairman Sri K Bapiraju on Monday inspected the free laddu counters and common luggage centre in Tirumala.

The board chief of TTD enquired about the free laddu provision to pedestrian pilgrims which has been launched by TTD from the first day of brahmotsavams.

It may be mentioned here that as a brahmotsavam bonanza TTD has announced one free laddu in addition to two subsidised laddus to pedestrian pilgrims. In the last two days over 30thousand divya darshan pilgrims availed this facility and expressed their pleasure over the noval decision of TTD.

Meanwhile the Chairman also paved visit to Common Luggage Centre in PAC IV and enquired about the collection and despatch of goods including cell phones, shoes, luggage being deposited by the pilgrims at various points in Tirumala. The chairman said, many pilgrims from across the country and even world will be visiting Tirumala temple every day and they deposit their baggage at different points in Tirumala. But after completion of darshan it is becoming a Herculean task for the pilgrims to re-identify their deposit counters since they are new to the place. To minimise their woes, TTD has recently began common luggage centre  which enables the pilgrim to collect their luggage from a single point in PAC IV (old Annaprasadam Complex).

CVSO Sri GVG Ashok Kumar, Additional CVSO Sri Sivakumar Reddy and others were also present.
