TTD CHAIRMAN INSPECTS SV SCHOOL FOR DEAF

Tirupati, 8 Oct. 15: The TTD Chairman Dr Ch. Krishnamurthy has assured that better amenities would be provided for benefit of the students of Sri Venkateswara deaf and dumb school and junior college at Tirupati.

The TTD chairman who inspected the premises of the Sri Venkateswara School for deaf and dumb school and Junior college said TTD educational institutions had opened their door for handicapped students from anywhere in the country. He directed the TTD officials to prepare a master plan for launching a degree college for the deaf and dumb students from the next academic year.

He said nearly 1000 such handicapped children were studying at the SV schools at Tirupati, Bhimavaram and Warangal and another 160 students were studying at the junior college at Tirupati for such students ‘TTD will enrol the services of donors if necessary to expand its educational activities “ he said.

Earlier he inspected the kitchen, class rooms and teaching aids and methods of hearing impaired students and directed the TTD officials to provide hygienic food, drinking water and also appoint a technician to repair the hearing aids of students in time.

The Devasthanam Education Officer Sri Vijay Kumar, DyEO Smt Snehalatha, College principal Smt Nalini and other officials were present.
