TTD COMMENCES REPLICA TEMPLE IN RAJAMUNDRY AMIDST RELIGIOUS POMP SHOBHA YATRA OF SACRED WATERS HELD

Rajamundry, 13 July 2015 : The Temple management of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTDs) has commenced its replica temple of Srivaru near Pushkar Ghat in Rajamundry in Municupal Grounds on a grand religious note on Monday in connection with the Godavari Maha Pushkarams 2015 which will commence from Tuesday onwards.

Ttd EO Dr D Sambasiva Rao along with Tirumala JEO Sri KS Sreenivasa Raju took part in this ceremonious fete which began with Maha Samprokshana programme between 9:07am to 10:30am.

Speaking on this occasion, the EO said, darshan for pilgrims will be officially open in the temple set up by TTD in Rajamundry from July 13 onwards till the end of Godavari Maha Pushkaram. “We have designed the temple as a replica to Tirumala temple and expecting about 75000 per day to have darshan here. Like in Tirumala we have set up layered system here for the free movement of pilgrims. We have also made elaborate security arrangements with the support of local volunteers to see that no untoward incident takes place. The floral and photo expos and electrical illuminations are going to be major attraction for pushkaram apart from the various cultural programmes by different projects of
TTD in Subramanya Maidanam and Arts College Grounds”, he maintained.

Later the JEO said, the temple commenced today on this sacred land as per the norms of Vaikhanasa Agama. We request the pilgrims also to cooperate with TTD staff towards smooth flow of the darshan system. The devotes will be distributed with Pulihora or Chakkara Pongali after darshan”, he maintained.

Rajamundry(Rural) legislator Sri G Bucchaiah Chowdary said, TTD has made elaborate arrangements for the mega religious event. “The mammoth activity by a great institution like TTD shows its commitment towards preservation, promotion and protection of Hindu Sanatana Dharma”, he complimented.

SHOBHA YATRA OF SACRED WATERS: Earlier for this ritual the Archakas brought the sacred waters from river Godavari and performed the pious religious activity. The holy eaters were filled in Kalasas amidst the chanting of Veda mantras and the the holy water is sprinkled in and around the temple premises.

Meanwhile local MP Sri Murali Mohan, Rajamundry(Rural) legislator Sri G Bucchaiah Chowdary, Rajamundry Urban MLA Sri A.Satyanarayana, Mayor Smt P Rajaniseshasai, TTD board members Dr Hariprasad, Smt K. Lalitha Kumari, Smt Suchitra Ella also took part in the programme.
