TTD ENHANCES ADVANCE BOOKING OF ACCOMMODATION QUOTA
Tirupati, 26 October 2015: The temple management of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams in yet another pro-pilgrim has enhanced Advance Booking quota of Accommodation in Tirumala and Tirupati which will come into effect from November 1 and last till December 15 on trial basis.
Since the period from the above said is said to be comparatively lean period, TTD EO Dr D Sambasiva Rao has taken this decision on an experimental basis and the booking will be released on 27th of October from 11am onwards both on internet and in e-Darshan counters across the country.
As a part of this new decision, TTD has enhanced number of rooms under advance booking quota from 700 to 1086 on Weekends(Friday, Saturday and Sunday) while from the existing 700 rooms to 1485 rooms on Weekdays(Monday to Thursday).
Apart from Tirumala, TTD extended advance booking facility of Accommodation in Tirupati also in to Vishnu Nivasam, from 100 rooms to 483 rooms. The pilgrims are requested make note of this change.
TTD DIARIES AND CALENDARS SHOULD BE EXTENSIVELY SOLD IN SVV-TTD EO
TTD EO Dr D Sambasiva Rao instructed the concerned officers to take up the sale of 12-sheet calendars and Diaries of TTD in a big way during the mega religious event of Sri Venkateswara Vaibhavotsavams which are scheduled take place in New Delhi from October 30 to November 8.
Reviewing with the senior officers of TTD on various developmental activities in his chambers in TTD Administrative building on Monday he said, “our almanac and journals should be marketed in a wide spread manner during the nine-day event as it is a very good opportunity. She that the stock reach in time and the sales start from day one onwards in the designated venue”, he instructed the Deputy EO of TTD Printing Press Smt Gowthami.
Later he directed the engineering wing to complete the pending works including the modern operation theatre in SVIMS and BIRRD in consultation with the respective authorities. He also instructed them to develop the Kalyanamandapams which need renovation.
While appreciating the programmes of SVBC and HDPP during recent brahmotsavams he directed them to enhance their quality of programme by adopting new technology and selecting best teams to perform during mega religious events respectively.
