TTD ENHANCES PARAKAMANI SEVAKULU NUMBERS FROM 80 TO 120

ENHANCED FIGURES TO COME INTO FORCE FROM 16TH FEB

TIRUMALA, FEB 10:  The temple administration of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTDs) has decided to enhance the number of Srivari Parakamani Sevakulu from the existing 80 to 120 which will come into force from 16th of February.

TTD has started Srivari Parakamani Seva on August 17, 2012 exclusively for the counting and accounting of the currency offerings made by multitue of visiting pilgrims every day in Srivari Hundi after darshan of Lord Venkateswara. Within no time Parakamani Seva gained popularity and so far in the last one and half years about 8114 retired and inservice employees of different Public Sector Units and Nationalised banks hailing from Andhra Pradesh(6608), Tamilnadu(800), Karnataka(661) and Kerala(45) belonging to 156 batches have rendered Parakamani Seva in Sri Tirumala Temple.

Initially the Parakamani Seva started with 50 members in a batch which was later enhanced to 80. Now with a view to utilise their services in Tirupati also (to count and account soiled notes and cut notes), TTD has decided to enhance their numbers to 120. Necessary arrangements have also been made by TTD for the same.

The eligible sevakulu are requested to make note of this change and register on-line in TTD web site for this seva which will come into effect by 16th of February 2014.
