TTD EO INAUGURATED ADARSHA VEDA GURUKULA PATATHASHALA
Tirupati, June 20: Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam Executive Officer Sri M. G. Gopal today inaugurated the Adarsha Vedha Gurukula Pathashala aimed at promotion of study of Veda in the traditional pattern as per age old scriptures.
Speaking on the occasion EO said the Gurukulam will be housed in the Sri Venkateswara Vedic University said the university had been imparting education and training in Veda studies to students from very tender age and also providing them intuition into modern day tools of computers and English as well.
Sri R.Venkatachari, principal of Veda Bhavanam, Hyderabad said traditional method of teaching pattern of Vedas helped to restore and revive moral values in society.
Vice Chancellor of the Sri Venkateswara Vedic university Sri K. E. Devanathan, the Adarsha Veda Gurukula Pathashala was set up with an intent to fill up the need for such an institution within the university to enhance the culture of Veda studies. ‘Only students of 8-10 years will be enrolled into the Pathashala and they will be taught Veda and shastra to identify their interest and skill and promote them to specialize in them ‘he said.
Among others who participated in the event were Director Sri T Phaniyagnashwayajulu, Registrar Dr A.Vijayakumar, Dean Sri Tarakarama Sharma, G V Subramanya Sharma, PRO Sri Brahmacharyulu, University staff, prominent vedic pundits of Temple town and parents of the students.
