TTD EO LAUNCHES Rs.300 ADVANCE BOOKING DARSHAN

Tirumala, 27 August 2014: TTD EO Sri MG Gopal on Wednesday launched the Rs.300 advance booking darshan system at TBC 129 Tirumala along with Tirumala JEO Sri KS Sreenivasa Raju.

Later addressing media persons he said with an aim to provide hassle free and speedy darshan to pilgrims TTD has commenced issuing of the advance booking of Rs.300 special entry darshan tickets(one week before) on August 20 on trial basis in Internet Booking and e-Darshan counters and the darshan for the pilgrims who booked in advance is formally launched today.

He said the top most priority of the temple administration is to provide a convenient darshan to pilgrims. “Over the instructions of Hon’ble AP CM Sri N Chandra Babu Naidu we have introduced this time bound speedy darshan system on trial basis and are hopeful of positive results”, he added.

Later the EO along with JEO Tirumala also had darshan along with the pilgrims in this new darshan system.

Meanwhile out of the 2500 tickets allotted in the on-line quota, all the tickets were booked and only 2173 pilgrims availed the darshan facility while out of 2500 tickets allotted in e-Darshan counters 699 pilgrims booked tickets and 609 pilgrims availed the darshan. On the whole out of the total of 5000 tickets in these two modes, 3199 pilgrims booked the tickets and only 2782 availed the darshan facility on Wednesday in two different time slots at 2pm and 3pm.

Temple Deputy EO Sri C Ramana, Suptd Engineer Sri Ramesh Reddy were also present.
