TTD EO RELEASES “MANMADHA NAMA” PANCHANGAM
Tirumala, 12 March 2015: TTD Executive Officer, Dr D Sambasiva Rao on Thursday evening released “MANMADHA Nama” Telugu Panchangam in front of Srivari temple.
Speaking on this occasion the EO said, Panchangam is an ancient Vedic Calendar which is designed with five basic elements of Tithi, Vaara, Nakshatra, Karana and Yoga which helps to plan his life style in a systemic way following the positioning of sun, moon, other planets and stars in the constellation as per the zodiac sign of the individual.
The EO said, Panchangam is the Vedic Almanac based on Indian astrological computations and gives the individual the auspicious and inauspicious timings of the day. The TTD Panchangam has a revered place among the masses since several decades.
“This year also, with the blessings of Lord Venkateswara the “Manmadha Nama” Samvatsaram will bring all happiness and prosperity to the entire humanity. We have published Panchangam in two languages. In Telugu we have printed 75 thousand copies and the price of each copy is Rs.50 and in Tamil three thousand copies were printed and each copy is priced at Rs.45. In Tirupati and Tirumala the sales of Panchangam will be available from today itself while in other places the Panchangam will be available from next week on wards”, the EO added.
Meanwhile, renowned TTD court astrologer Sri Tangirala Prabhakara Purnaiah Siddhanthi used to design the Panchangam every year. But due to his sudden demise during last November, the task has been successfully completed by his brother, Sri Tangirala Venkata Krishna Purna Prasad who is also a renowned astrologer.
