TIRUMALA, FEB 12: TTD EO Sri MG Gopal on Wednesday evening reviewed the arrangements of annual brahmotsavams of Sri Kalyana Venkateswara Swamy in the temple of Srinivasa Mangapuram with various heads of the departments.

He said TTD is making elaborate arrangements for the mega religious fete on the lines of Tirumala which is scheduled to take place from February 19 to 27. He directed the officials not to compromise on arrangements give wide publicity to the mega event.

Later speaking to media persons, the EO said, the temple tank with a new look will be pressed into activity from this brahmotsavams. He also said, TTD will be setting up prasadam distribution counters, luggage counters, shoe keeping counters and mobile toilets for the sake of the visiting pilgrims. He also said TTD publication stalls will also set up during the occasion. He also said, tight security arrangements have also been made for the occasion.

Speaking on this occasion, Tirupati JEO Sri P Bhaskar said, the main events during the mega fete include Dhwajarohanam on February 19, Garuda Seva on 23, Rathotsavam on 26 and Chakrasnanam on 27 with which the nine-day festival concludes. He also said, special garlands will be brought in a procession from Sri Govinda Raja Swamy temple to Srinivasa Mangapuram on the morning of February 23, in connection with Garuda Seva in the evening. “Earlier we used to borrow some important vahanams from Tiruchanoor temple. But this time, the temple is well decked to take out processions of the processional deity on its own vahanams”, he added

Later EO launched two Prachara Rathams which will take up publicity in the near by villages.

CE Sri Chandra Sekhar Reddy, SE I Sri Sudhakar Rao, local temple Deputy EO Sri EC Sreedhar and other officials were also present.
