TTD HAS KEPT ITS WORD TO TIRUMALA DISPLACED-TTD BOARD CHIEF

Tirupati, 29 July 2015: The temple management of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams has kept its word by allotting permanent shelter to Tirumala Displaced who were shifted to Tirupati over a decade ago as a part of Master Plan implementation in Tirumala, said TTD Trust Board Chairman Dr Ch Krishnamurthy.

The TTD Board Chief along with TTD EO Dr D Sambasiva Rao and Tirupati JEOSri P Bhaskar visited Tirumalanagar site where pic a houses are constructed for the Tirumala displaced in Mangalam located at Tirupati outskirts on Wednesday.

Speaking on this occasion, he said, between 2000 and 2004 TTD has shifter Tirumala locals as a part of Master plan implementation. Since then the houses are allotted to Tirumala displaced in Mangalam in a phased manner. In first phase about 408 houses were allotted in Tirumala Nagar while in second phase about 186 houses were constructed in 2008 and named as Seshachala Nagar and in 2015 about 151 houses were constructed and will be named as Padmavathi Nagar. TTD has kept its word and I am overwhelmed to allot these houses through lucky dip system”, chairman said.

Later TTD EO said, the Tirumala displaced should not lease the houses or sell them to any other person and should shift from the chowlties which are meant to accommodate pilgrims and should transfer to their new houses.

Tirupati JEO Sri Pola Bhaskar, Estate Officer Sri Balakrishna, Suptd Engineer Sri Ramesh Reddy and others were present.
