TTD MAKES ID CARD MANDATATORY TO PEDESTRIAN PILGIRMS FOR DHARSHAN TOKENS

Tirumala, 21 Dec. 16: To enhance transparency in the system, TTD has made Adhaar Card card mandatory for the pedestrian pilgrims.

As the ID card was made mandatory for Srivari Sevakulu, booking of accommodation, Anga Pradakshinam by TTD earlier and it yielded fruitful results minimizing the misuse of services.

In light of the above, TTD has decided to dispense capturing of thumb impression at Galigopuram and Srivari Mettu and introduced Adhaar card ID capturing for obtaining laddu tokens and darshan. If the pilgrim does not have Adhaar card, any one of the IDs viz. Pass Port, Voter, Driving Licence and PAN card should be brought by the pedestrian pilgrim.
