TTD RESTARTS TRAINING TO SC, ST AND FISHERMEN COMMUNITIES IN PRIESTHOOD

TTD CHAIRMAN AND TTD EO TAKE PART IN INAUGURAL SESSION

Tirupati, 9 April 2016: Being the custodian of Hindu Sanatana Dharma, the temple administration of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams has once again restarted the noble programme of training downtrodden and fisher men communities in the backward and agency areas in priesthood which commenced in Sri Venkateswara Employees’ Training Academy (SVETA), in Tirupati on a ceremonious note on Saturday.

TTD Trust Board Chairman Dr Ch Krishnamurthy and TTD EO Dr D Sambasiva Rao inaugurated the week long training programme to 68 persons hailing from the SC-ST colonies and agency areas of Visakhapatnam, West and East Godavaris, Anantapur and Khammam districts of both the Telugu speaking states.

Describing them as saviours of Hindu Sanatana Dharma, TTD TrustBoard Chief Dr Ch Krishnamurthy called upon the selected trainees to learn the Puja Vidhi with devotion and implement the same in their respective hamlets and stand as role model to others in their villages. “From today onwards you should stand an example to others in terms of your dress code, manners and devotion in your villages. With your deeds you should bring back the people who had converted to other religions back into Hindu society.

500 TEMPLES SOON IN SC-ST-AGENCY AREAS-EO

TTD EO Dr D Sambasiva Rao in his address to the trainees said, this seven-day training programme on ‘Hindu system of worship’ is exclusively meant for SC, ST and fishermen community.

Expressing his concern over the ‘systematic alienation’ of certain sections from the Hindu society in the absence of ‘spiritual link’, he urged them to undergo training in a proper way. “We are ready to construct around 500 temple in SC, ST and fishermen colonies along with Endowments department. But without priests, the temples are of no use. So TTD is committed to train you all. A separate module of instruction is getting ready to train you in a easy and comfortable manner and it will get ready in next couple of months and the faculty to train you will also be trained exclusively for the purpose”, he added.

CERTIFICATE COURSE IS ALSO UNDER OBSERVATION-JEO

Tirupati JEO Sri P Bhaskar said, TTD is also contemplating to introduce a three month or six month certificate course for the same to trainees. “Our intention is to train you Perfectly in priesthood and for this purpose a mere week long training will not serve. We are planning to introduce a certificate course”, he added.

BE A ROLE MODEL IN YOUR HAMLETS-SO

The Special Officer of All Projects Sri N Muktheswara Rao told the participants to be a role model to others in their villages. “After undergoing training here you should execute the same with dedication and devotion. Stand as an exemplary to others in your hamlets”, he added.

About 68 trainees including 34 from fishermen community, 19 from SC and 15 from ST colonies took part in this training programme. They were puja articles and religious books by the dignitaries. SVETA Director Sri Anjaneyulu, HRD Consultant Sri Chandrasekhar Manda were also present.
