TTD SEEKS INCREASED SUPPLY OF TG WATERS TO TIRUMALA

Tirupati, 8 July 2015: The TTD Executive Officer Dr D Samba Siva Rao on Wednesday evening sought TMC to increase the supply of Telugu Ganga waters to Tirumala in view of day by day increase in pilgrim population to hill town.

A review meeting held in EO chambers along with TMC Commissioner Sri Vinay Chand. The EO said as of now about 4.5 MLD of TG water is being supplied to Tirumala and it should be increased to 8MLD, he added.

He also asked the commissioner to significantly improve the ambience in Tirumala and take up the beautification in a big way to give a feel good experience to the multitude of visiting pilgrims. He also sought the SP Sri Gopinath Jetti to improve the traffic points by streamlining the vehicular traffic. Tirumala JEO Sri KS Sreenivasa Raju,
