Tirumala, 11 March,2014: The temple administration of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTDs) has set ready to perform one of the important annual mega religious events among the 450 festivals that are being performed every year in Tirumala, the Teppotsavams which will commence on Wednesday.

The five day float festival usually commences on the day Suddha Ekadasi and concludes on full moon day.

The engineering wing of TTD has made elaborate arrangements for the float festival including cleansing of swamy pushkarini, arranging showers and filters to purity temple tank waters etc. While the height of the Mandapam on the float has been increased this time by TTD for the convenience placement of Utsava Murthies during float procession. Tirumala JEO Sri KS Sreenivasa Raju has personally monitored the arrangements and decorations made for the mega event.

Meanwhile on the day one, Lord in the guise of Lord Srirama accompanied by Goddess Sita, Laxmana and Anjaneya will take pleasure ride on float while Lord Sri Krishna and Goddess Rukmini will bless the devotees on the second. On the last three days, Lord Malayappa Swamy accompanied by his two consorts will take celestial ride on the temple tank waters. It will be a feast to the devotees who converge to witness the grandeur of Lord on the finely and richly decorated float. Especially as the last day happens to be the full moon day, the glimpse of lord under the shine of bright moon will be a rare delight for the eyes of the pilgrims.
