TTD TAKES OVER VONTIMITTA SRIKODANDA RAMALAYAM TEMPLE

PILGRIM DESTINATION – TTD CHAIRMAN DR CH KRISHNAMURTHY

VONTIMITTA, SEPT. 9: The ancient temple of Lord Sri Kodanada Rama located in Vontimitta in Kadapa District will be developed on the lines of Bhadradri of Khammam district of Telengana state said TTD Trust Board Chairman Dr Ch Krishnamurthy.

The board chief who graced the ceremonious occasion of taking over of this ancient Sri Rama temple at Vontimitta on Wednesday speaking to media persons said, this age old Hindu temple of 16th century is an example for Vijayanagara architecture.

He said the Honorable CM of AP Sri N Chandrababu Naidu is keen to develop this ancient temple which has a stupendous glory. “Many scholars including Bammera Pothana, Tallapaka Annamacharya hailed from this district and they have dedicated their lives in the service of Lord. “The Lord may be called by different names as Sri Rama in Tetayuga, Sri Krishna in Dwapara and Lord Venkateswara in this Kaliyuga. But in each aeon the purpose of incarnation is protection of Sanatana Dharma. TTD sticks to this principle preached by none other than the Lord Himself”, he maintained.

Earlier the EO of the Vontimitta temple Sri Shankara Balaji has handed over the management of this ancient Sri Rama tempel to TTD outside temples Dy EO Sri Balaji. TTD Trust Board members Sri G Bhanuprakash Reddy, Dr P Hariprasad were also present.
